Birds by KSW is the culmination of a passion for nature that was instilled in me by my dad. Growing up, we spent a lot of time outdoors and he'd always point out animal tracks, bird calls and other signs of wildlife. That appreciation for the world around us is something that I want to pass along to my daughters. And bird photography is the perfect way to do that. 

Having studied art history and worked in technology, I love the challenge and potential that every photography outing presents. The waiting, timing, framing—and just plain luck—that culminates in capturing a truly unique moment in nature is exhilarating. And whether I got the shot I wanted or not, I always learn something for next time.     

I’m constantly inspired by the work of other bird and nature photographers and am grateful to be part of such a welcoming and supportive the community. I’m looking forward to sharing more of my work and experiences here, so I can help grow it just a little bit more.
